- It’s been six months since we said “yes build this house please”.
- This is Build month #4 quickly coming to a close.
- I can’t think of anything else useful to outline here, so let’s get to the photos.
So here was work going on at the home site on this past Sunday, as such we couldn’t really get in there until everyone was gone.
It was raining too, so we were in and out. (Muddy outside with the dirt and all) This made the house look crappy in the dull light, so I didn’t take many exterior pictures this trip…sorry.
^ Two views from the upstairs windows looking across the street from front of home.
^ A/C duct work and general “mess” going on in the Game Room area as things inside start taking shape.
^ Emzy came with us, yeah. This is the duct work going in behind the Garage wall area.
^ This seems to be the “list of things to correct” as scribbled onto the garage wall. Kind of interesting.

Seems the plumbing work passed inspection, so the A/C lines are going in, along with some electrical, but not much to report otherwise.
Biggest surprise was the home’s windows have all been installed!
You’d think we were in the home stretch (ha, bad pun) but we’re going to have to wait for electrical to be finished, walls, flooring, paint… and who knows how many more inspections… (since the windows have gone in). We’re also hoping some of the leaks we saw yesterday are because some structural stuff just hasn’t all been completed yet — and if so, they get it wrapped up soon!
As we figured, our closing date has been re-adjusted.. finally. We’re now anticipating a closing around 3/31. Two months behind schedule. 3/31 isn’t even a weekday though, so we’re going to try to get a better date scheduled.
More details here once we get it all figured out ourselves.

^ Right side. There’s going to be that one little window for bathroom, and that large window in the laundry area upstairs… and that’s IT for windows on this side.
^Back side from about the spot where we’ll be building the deck around the entire covered back porch there. (Yes, a deck just like our last house — only, of course, much better, because it’s NOT THAT HOUSE…) 😀
^ The left side… Again, not much for window action over here either. I believe that could be one of the upstairs bathroom’s windows, but not sure.
^ View of the front porch and entrance way.
^ Here’s Jason spying into what will eventually become a kitchen area.
^ Sorry to our to-be-neighbors. We’ll park in the driveway once it exists, promise! And the Port-o-potty will be history by then too.
^ View from inside middle of the first floor, towards the front door. Kitchen to front right, dining area to rear right, and living room left to where you’re standing, master bedroom to the far left, and the staircase access to upstairs and everything else.
^ This is the view from that one high window in the laundry room on the second floor! In about two more years, there will be houses galore along the right between us and that home way up the street.
^ Another view of the street before the lots all fill up. Basically, this side will look like that far side across the way. Houses houses houses.
^ Here’s the backyard. That pond is supposed to be getting a clean-up makeover job once the HOA gets their mind set on just when that’s going to happen….
^ Another view of that “pond” in the back. You can see some of the houses on other side are still getting finished.
^ A couple of houses to the “back-left” of ours. We met some our nice new neighbors on this trip.
^ And here’s the fam in the to-be-kitchen.
