Land finally getting cleared, trees removed, and we met new neighbors!

Darcy noticed over the weekend that the lot’s land was cleared, and some trees were even removed!   We went by again to take some pictures.

Finally, after months we’re seeing some real work being done at the site, so we can calm down a little now I guess? 🙂

We also met our neighbor across the street, and they seem very nice!  Looking forward to meeting the rest of our new neighbors over the coming months.

Permits acquired, building should start any day now…

It’s been a long three months of seeing not much done in the way of our new home’s construction.

OLD Home:  Closed back on 10/25!  Got the old home off our hands.  Thanks Kerin Clarkin of Kerin Realty for everything!   (KerinRealty.com)

NEW Home: Still under construction, once it even starts… Read on below..

Two weeks ago, the permit became available.  The home-builder picked it up a week later, and as of this week, we’re told to see plumbing and concrete work starting to take shape.

I’ve already seen a new water meter cover get put in, as of my last drive by.  Darcy’s also taken some pictures of the lot, which appears to have markers put in for the lot dimensions.  (I thought they were utility markers, oh well.)

Time will tell, but at this point with construction starting into November, we’re not expecting to take delivery of the home for another 3-4 months… about a month later than we anticipated.  We’ll see how the next few days go.

Above is the land plot from the Prop Appraiser’s website…

As of 11/6 (today) there’s the lot!   Still kind of waiting for some action to start taking place…

Here’s the original shot from Aug 7th, below…

Oh, and here’s some of the tile backsplash work Darcy is planning on going with, for the kitchen cabinets.

Anxiously awaiting something.
